Privacy Policy

There is one place on this website where you can give us information about yourself: the contact form. Nothing else on the site asks you for anything, and nothing else on it can identify you.

When you submit the contact form, we receive:

• your name
• your business email address
• your company name
• your website address, if you choose to give one
• the message you write

The form is the whole of what you tell us. Separately, this website counts its own traffic using Vercel Web Analytics, which records an anonymous page view — the page visited, where the visit came from, the country, and the browser and device type. It sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, identifies you by nothing that outlives 24 hours, and never receives what you type into the form. There is no advertising, no tag manager, no profile of you, and nothing that follows you to another website. If you email us directly instead, we hold that correspondence in the same way.

We use what you send for one purpose: to read your enquiry, respond to it, and continue the conversation if there is one to have. We do not use it for marketing, we do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell or rent it to anybody.

Where UK or EU data protection law applies to you, our basis for handling an enquiry is our legitimate interest in responding to someone who has contacted us about a possible business relationship, and — once a programme is under discussion — taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

Your enquiry is read by the people at Furniship who deal with the kind of programme you are describing. Beyond that, two service providers are involved in the mechanics of getting it to us:

Delivers the contents of a submitted enquiry to Furniship as an email. It receives what you typed in the form and the address it is being sent to.

Website hosting

Serves this website and processes the request that carries your enquiry to us. It is named on request — see the contact details below.

Neither uses your information for its own purposes. We do not disclose enquiries to anyone else unless we are required to by law.

Furniship is based in Hong Kong and its manufacturing programmes involve partners in Asia. If you send us an enquiry from the UK or the EU, the information in it will be handled outside those regions.

We keep an enquiry for as long as there is a live conversation, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case it resumes — a serious furniture programme is often discussed months before it starts. Where an enquiry leads to a contract, the correspondence forms part of that programme's record and is retained with it.

If you would rather we did not keep your enquiry, say so and we will delete it.

Depending on where you are, you may have the right to ask what information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy of it. You do not need a particular form of words — write to us and say what you want.

Requests go to sales@furnishipconnect.com. If you are in the UK or the EU and you are not satisfied with how we have handled a request, you can complain to your national data protection authority.

If this website starts doing something it does not do today — a newsletter, an account system, advertising, or measurement that identifies you rather than counting a visit — this policy changes before that happens, not after. That is not a form of words: analytics was added to this site after this policy was first written, and this policy was corrected in the same change.
